IMPACT OF MICROSOFT ON MY LIFE AND A WAY TO BRING A CHANGE IN THE SOCIETY BEING A MICROSOFT STUDENT ASSOCIATE.
MICROSOFT... This word make us exciting and curious always. The first thought what comes to our mind is about WINDOWS. Whenever a person speaks about Microsoft, people always think about Windows. Nowadays Microsoft Windows is the most widely used OS in the world.
MICROSOFT may mean small and soft as per the meaning but that small thing has led to a huge change in this world. When the era of computers started, INTEL gave its contribution by its first chip 4004. Even IBM contributed next. Then came Microsoft with DOS which changed the person's mind and later came out to be best OS brand in this world. Today each and everyone is aware and known of this great company MICROSOFT and its WINDOWS.
Has anyone thought of why the name WINDOWS.??Window, as all know its meaning. Window is a space through which we can see outside when inside a building. Window is designed based on person's choice and its a way of enjoying the outer world sitting inside a building. Same way Microsoft company has introduced WINDOWS to its company so that they can show the outer techno world to the people sitting inside or setling somewhere. WINDOWS has a beauty in itself where people like us can see the techno nature and be a part of it and help in the development leading to the progress of every individual in this world.
Today Microsoft is one of the great companies in this planet and they have been looking forward for a very good program called MICROSOFT STUDENT ASSOCIATE PROGRAM (MSA). This program is an initiative that focuses towards developing leadership attributes of the students in their community. MSAs represent their local campus as technology enthusiasts and social media/marketing evangelists. This program is to make students to get aware of Microsoft more and also help other people to get know the benefits and facilities of these Microsoft products. Nowadays social media is a new trend and many people having great interest in it. Thus this program will have a positive social impact and hence will be developing every individual's ideas and make a better world.
This program makes students to go to various educational centres and conduct boot camps and workshops. This will make other people get idea about Microsoft facilities and benefits. MSAs have to contribute in empowering industry and academia ecosystem by constantly playing a role of evangelist in the community.
Use of Microsoft technologies will help people to get more knowledge about it and get their works done fast. Microsoft started from a small technology and today whole of world is getting benefited because of the various technologies.
All people are not aware of the products and technologies available. So Microsoft is looking forward to bring people forward and participate in spreading this useful information about available technologies. And I'm too interested to take part in this program being a MSA.

When I entered this world, it was just a begining of computer world. The word computer wasn't that familiar to me. As it was an exciting thing to see a computer and touch it. Then I entered my school and there came a subject called COMPUTER SCIENCE when I was just 9. The thing was just PAINT and LOGO which was there in a floppy disk. Those days floppy disks were in demand as in now we have pendrives and external HDD. Those days were awesome and then I got edicted to games, ROADRASH was the first game which I played. Whenever the computer was getting started, I could see a a symbol with four colours, that was Windows. Those four colours symbolise every aspect of this world. That scene was something great those days. Microsoft Windows is that thing which people love to hear, see and feel.
As time passed, there came MS WORD which was something a notebook for me. When I was bored I used to draw my imaginations in MS PAINT and those imaginations were next written in my notebook MS WORD. As a kid MS WORD was to be a great thing for me and even now its useful everytime. WORD, the word which defined everything of one's mind. Every kid in this world will be familiar with MS WORD.
Then comes the Motion, MS POWERPOINT. This product of Microsoft has changed everything for people. The name POWERPOINT, as I say is a POINT which is given a bit of power and set into motion. In short so called ANIMATION. This thing made us imagining something which can move. As I moved on, I became familiar with this MS POWERPOINT and I saw my imaginations moving all around. Then I used to collect good pictures and I had written some quotes on it and then set into motion. Things looked very beautiful and it continued. Then when I entered my high school, I was a teenager and we were given some concepts to be explained, so I used MS PPT to describe my ideas and make my explanation proper and clearly presented.
And then came, WORKSHEETS i.e MS EXCEL. This was the thing which I was bored of. We had to fill details in those cells and calculate using formule, it was pretty boring and irritating. But this product was a revolution in accounting and various other business tasks.
There are many other products like MS OUTLOOK, MS ACCESS and many more. I wasn't in touch with those but all these are usefull in all respects. MS OFFICE has helped people including me a lot in all activities without which it would hav been difficult.
Another technology by microsoft is ONEDRIVE (formely SKYDRIVE) is a file hosting service which allows users to upload and sync files to a cloud storage and then access them from a web browser or any local device. This can be used to store private files and share them with some people privately. This is a part of Windows Live range of online services. Microsoft has released this service for Android, windows, iOS and xbox. This is a major concept brought out and helped all a lot.
When it comes for 'Search', there comes BING. This is a search engine which gives better results for a search. Even though GOOGLE is most used search engine, BING is nevertheless a better seach engine too.
Now its time for communication, here comes SKYPE. Skype is a freemium voice-over-IP service and instant messaging client. The service allows user to communicate with peers by voice using a microphone, video by webcam and instant messaging over the internet. Calls to other users over skype service is free of cost, but phone calls to landlines and mobile phones are charged by a debit based user account system. Skype is popular for its additional features like file transfer and video conferencing. Even though I don't use this, many of my friends use this and I know well about this skype.
Most interesting product of Microsoft, i.e MICROSOFT AZURE. This is a cloud computing platform and infrastructure, that provide users for building, deploying and managing applications and services through a global network of Microsoft managed data centers. Also it supports many programming languages, tools and frameworks including both Microsoft specific and third party softwares and systems. Features of this allow users to get benefitted by cloud services and data management too.
Nowadays its a modern era, where people are very much fond of gaming. So here comes Xbox. Xbox is a video gaming brand from Microsoft. It includes a series of video gaming consoles developed by Microsoft, with consoles in the sixth to eight generations, as well as applications (games), streaming services and online service Xbox Live. My friends and I have enjoyed a lpt playing games in Xbox 360 and it was an awesome experience playing in it. Realistic gaming features made me crazy about Xbox. This is great product brought by Microsoft.
Now comes the beast, WINDOWS PHONE. This step of Microsoft has completely revolutionised the mobile industry in the world. As I know, Samsung had launched a phone Omnia 7 with windows 7.5 OS called windows mango. Later Windows tied up with Nokia and today Nokia phones are developed by windows. Good features are been put up and phomes are made very user friendly. Lumia series started by Nokia has a greater demand because of Windows OS.
Windows started with 95 and it continued its journey to get a higher postion in the list of OSs'. Windows 7, Windows 8 are greater demand and people are comfortable and enjoying the facilities given by Microsoft. Now Windows 8.1 is a new trend, even Nokia phones have got updates to make it windows 8.1. So Microsoft has developed many things providing various technologies to the users so that they can make up their works easily with less efforts. Its on people how they use and feel it.
This was my view on Microsoft technologies and developments. If I get selected as a MSA, then I will follow all rules and regulations of this program and will take up all the duties as a responsible MSA. I will learn more things from this program and get as much knowledge as I can and will share it with my family and friends. I will be a responsible MSA and will be very social in my works. I will help people get aware of Microsoft technologies by conducting boot camps and workshops. I will go to many schools and colleges and give some input regarding various Microsoft products by giving seminars. Just being a MSA is not enough, working hard is important. I'm lookin forward to be a part of this program and help people get their life easy and efficient. And will also put my hardwork for marketing and promotions to wake up people so that they will be aware of all technologies and get updated soon. Even people will be made aware of emerging technologies and help to get the benefits soon and enjoy their life.
As being a MSA, its not only uniting people and making them aware of technologies but also I would get a platform to fetch various ideas and I'll meet many people in this program and will get to know many innovative things which would help me and every other people to get to know more in depth. By this knowledge, I will develop some softwares for the society benefit.
I hope, I will learn a lot from this program. I'm ready to be a part of this program and all set for social service.
